The Association of Rehabilitation Nurses 30th Annual Educational Conference was held October 6-9 at the Westin
Peachtree Plaza, Atlanta, Georgia. The theme of this year’s conference was “Celebrate the Journey”. From the
keynote session “Florence Nightingale Today: Her Vision for a Healthy Future” by Barbara Dossey to the closing
address “Chicken Soup for the Nurses Soul” by LeAnn Thieman, the conference was packed with educational and
motivational information. Our chapter was well represented with many members presenting papers or posters.
Congratulations to Chapter Members Presenting at the 30th Annual Educational Conference!
Paper Presentations:
Colleen Murphy – Interdisciplinary Approach to Pain Management
Cindy Gatens & Norma Clanin – What’s New in Rehabilitation: Caring for Patients with Left Ventricular Assist Devices

Please join us at the Holiday Party at DaVinci restaurant on December 7, 2004, so we can reminisce about our past
year and discuss our exciting plans for the future. The Board of Directors welcomes input and participation. We look
forward to welcoming new and familiar faces to our educational and community service
events.
